The Hard Rock Hotel New York is the latest in the chain of rock-inspired hotels to open, located in the buzz of Times Square.

The hotel is situated near to other musical hubs including Broadway and Radio City Musical Hall, fittingly on what was once known as Music Row. The hotel’s design pays homage to its rich musical history, showcasing iconic memorabilia such as musical instruments, clothing, antiques and signed photographs.

Hard Rock Hotel New York is home to over 400 suites, two restaurants and a rooftop lounge: its signature Sessions Restaurant & Bar, NYY Steak, and lounge RT60 Rooftop on the building’s 34th floor. This location also features The Venue, an entertainment and music event space with capacity for up to 400 guests and the general public to attend.

The glamorous design by interior designer Jeffrey Beers International is synonymous with rockstar luxury, featuring decadent materials including dark wood, elegant marble, rich leather and sumptuous velvet. Lighting design studio BOLD specified Lucent Lighting fixtures to enhance this striking interior through illumination.

Lucent Lighting’s Axis Mini luminaires with LED51 were used throughout the main public areas of the hotel. These trimless downlights are recessed into the ceiling, blending seamlessly into the design to create a stylish aesthetic and an alluring ambience for guests.

The lighting has played a key role in the overall design, subtly spotlighting the items on display while setting an overall atmosphere of quiet luxury and prestige.
